Account Manager/Inside Sales

 

Craftsmen Industries, an industry leader in the experiential marketing segment, is seeking an experienced Account Manager/Inside Salesperson to call on and sell Craftsmen Industries’ products and services to current and new customers. The successful candidate will have the experience and industry knowledge to intently listen to customer requirements, provide timely and accurate estimates, negotiate sales agreements and bring the project to fruition. He or she needs to be a team player working within the Craftsmen system.

 

Requirements:  

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in events or the experiential industry; with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Working knowledge of PC software and hardware, including the Internet and Microsoft Office applications - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills 
  • Able to manage own time without direct daily supervision 
     

Responsibilities:

  • Call on potential clients in person and by phone to present Craftsmen products and services 
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with assigned referral sources
  • Analyze current practices of potential clients and identify additional sales opportunities 
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon sales, activity and retention targets
  • Work closely with Operations staff to achieve client satisfaction
  • Complete regular reports as required
  • Utilize the company’s CRM system
     

Education:

  • Four year degree is preferred.

  • General computer knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, and 7; Office programs (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • General networking knowledge with the ability to set up an Ethernet Network (wireless or wired) and solve IP address conflicts
  • General Home Audio and Pro Audio knowledge; Cable types, best practices on running wires to code, speaker placement, FOH mixing, troubleshooting, etc.
  • General Video knowledge; Video formats, cable types, etc.

 

Bonus Skills:

  • General Satellite knowledge; DirecTV, DishNetwork, and HughesNet Internet by Satellite.
  • Stage lighting knowledge; DMX programming.
  • 12 volt car audio electronics and general 12 volt wiring practices.
  • 120 volt electrical knowledge.
  • Program knowledge of Smart Home Lutron, AMX, Crestron and RTI
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • General Cellular knowledge; Network types and different carriers.

 

Job Description

 

  • Design a fully functional system to meet the customer’s needs
  • Estimate cost including installation labor for Sales Department
  • Locate parts, receive quotes for price/availability, send purchase requisition to Purchasing Department
  • Provide system schematic and parts list with information on location of parts (stock, ordered, or customer supplied) for Shop to install system
  • Provide training and installation support for Shop
  • Trouble shoot and solve major issues

Experiential Sales

 

Craftsmen Industries, an industry leader in the experiential marketing segment, is seeking a full time, experienced sales representative with a minimum of 5 years experience selling B2B, B2C and within the experiential marketplace. A successful candidate will have experience selling fabricated event elements, customized vehicles and contacts within the industry. College degree preferred.

 

Duties Include:

  • Conduct face-to-face customer sales calls
  • Travel to customer sites to hold meetings and gather information
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, and generate revenue opportunities
  • Pre-sale duties include preparing action plans and customized presentations, and performing pre-call research and analysis.
  • Maintain and grow a book of business
  • Introduce new products and services and expand business opportunities within customer accounts
  • Track sales performance to objectives
  • Respond to internal sales leads to identify opportunities and create sales strategies
  • Utilize company’s CRM system
  • Research resources and account history
  • Submit pricing requests and analyze price quotes

 

Competencies:

  • Applies business and industry knowledge and understands how key factors impact business strategies and customer organizations in areas such as industry trends, global business perspectives, organizational structures and functions
  • Builds business partnerships and develops key customer relationships to maximize account profitability.  Understands the customer’s business and aligns account strategies to customer goals
  • Conducts competitive analysis of competitor’s offerings and strategies and maintains awareness of competitive environment
  • Creates and develops strategies and plans for effectively managing accounts
  • Negotiates with others by identifying desired outcomes, organizational priorities, and appropriate strategies and concessions.  Asks pertinent questions, considers alternatives, persuades others, and bargains for win-win solutions
  • Solicits information using information gathering techniques such as asking open and closed-ended questions, probing for details, and interviewing others to obtain additional information

 

Software Requirements:
