The Craftsmen Industries Story

Craftsmen Industries was founded in 1982 on Howard Street in St. Louis, MO. In the early days, the company repaired trailers and customized vehicles for an industry, experiential mobile marketing, that had yet been named. In 1985, Craftsmen began assembling a total in-house solution by investing in large format printing. Bringing all the elements of design, engineering, fabrication, printing, and installation in-house was necessary to be the best. By doing this, Craftsmen could control quality, manage tight deadlines and deliver within budget. Customers throughout the early 1990's were calling on Craftsmen to build and customize their vehicles, as well as print graphics and fabricate custom kiosks. The company continued to grow.

By 1993 Craftsmen was ready to move to larger facilities in St. Charles, Missouri. In January 2000, the company built a new facility, again in St. Charles, occupying over 179,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office space combined. In 2000, a 3D fiberglass department was added to service the needs of the company's growing mobile marketing clients. In 2011, Craftsmen continues to expand into new markets, including the industrial segment.
